Types of Reviews
This review was a "Report Card Submission". We ask our customers to fill out a "report card", like the one pictured below, at the completion of every job. The star rating is an average of how the technician performed in knowledge, promptness, courtesy, ability to finish the job quickly and in one visit, clean up of the job site and overall quality of the finished work. To add transparency to our business we make these public on our website.
At the completion of every job we ask our customers to review our business on our website. Their comments are reviewed manually for inappropriate language and then posted to the website unedited.
This review was a "Telephone Submission". Often after work is completed we conduct a telephone survey to ensure complete satisfaction with the work we did. With permission, Comments from these calls are transcribed and displayed on our website.
This review was an "E-mail Submission". Sometimes our customers send us emails to let us know more about how we performed. With their permission these are posted to the site.
This review was a "Postal Mail Submission". Our customers send us letters through traditional postal mail reviewing our performance. When they do, we transcribe it and place it on our website.

If I was just rating the tech and the quality of work, I would rate it at 5 or better. James is fast, knowledgeable and is a very professional young man. He showed up on time (actually he called and asked if he could come early, which worked out great for me, as I had to return to work). He identified my problem immediately, laid out my options, with no high pressure or scare sales tactics, and took care of it. Now our garage door works great and is about a hundred times quieter. My only minor complaint is that $700 for the 'overhaul' package seems a little high for an hour of work and probably less than $50 worth of hardware. It may pay off in the long run though because of the lifetime transferable warranty.

Hi: Tech was on time for preset day to repair sprung spring & evaluate condition of 14 yr. old Clopay door. Door was functional before tech arrived. After signing the required contract, he went about his business to replace springs, guide/safety wire & rollers. Door was operational & much quieter after repair. Tech also gave option of different guarantees for different prices & required payment before leaving. Total cost a little over $400.

You gave me a quote over the phone with no gimmicks or caveats and arranged a time frame for your employee to come out that fit my time schedule. Your man showed up on time, diagnosed and repaired the problem quickly and even adjusted and lubricated my whole system. Your price was what you quoted, and the work was done right. I would recommend and use your company again without a second thought. WELL DONE!!!!

James was a great technician. Although I felt the price was a little high for a complete overhaul of my garage door($819), it sure is nice to have the door working again. The door only worked for one day after the initial repair, but when I called to report the trouble the service was excellent and James returned to make some adjustments and the door is now working...even when it is cold. I will call Precision again for garage door or garage door opener needs.

Researching online I found reviews to be helpful. The ability to be at the house quickly, and the actual repair only took about 30 minutes (new torsion springs). The technician, Jeff Zook, was very professional. He called before arriving and then arrived at the beginning of the appointment period. He clearly showed me the worn bearings and discussed my options. I already knew one of the torsion bar springs was broken and both needed to be replaced. I selected the deluxe package with the lifetime warranty. He then did the repair efficiently and thoroughly. I am very pleased with the result.

I unfortunately do not remember the name of the guy who fixed our garage door, but he did a great job. He was very nice and helpful and fixed our door perfectly. He even went out of his way to fix a problem that the builder messed up originally. I will definitely recommend you guys to anyone who needs a garage door fixed.
