Hi everyone, My name is Garrett Wright. I'm a husband and a proud father of two — one boy and one girl. I’m originally from Georgia but was raised here in Tennessee, so I like to think I bring a bit of both states with me wherever I go. Outside of work, I’m a huge college football fan (Go Dawgs!), and I love spending time with my family whenever I can. I’m really excited to be here and look forward to working with all of you. I first called precision door to repair two garage doors. I was told that the first door needed a new motor even though it opened up and down but didn’t stop when it closed, it just went back up. I thought it just needed an adjustment. Since I needed it to operate, I gave my permission to install the new motor even though I thought a simple adjustment would fix it. The second door motor only two years old I thought needed just an adjustment because it would not close all the way but was told it needed a new motor costing $1600. The tech said that that particular motor had problems and there was no fix for it. I refused the new motor installation and called another company to check it out. When the new technician arrived I explained the problem. Ten minutes later the door was repaired. The problem, two set screws were loose and the door operated as it should, nothing wrong with the motor. I paid the $150 service call and was completely satisfied. I will say I won’t be calling precision door again. Buyer beware.

This company is the best!! My garage door broke at 4:00 on Saturday afternoon with my car in it, and I had to get to work later that evening. The gentleman at the call center was so helpful and he found a serviceman who was actually on his way home but was willing to come to my house and assess what could be done. Garrett Wright was there within an hour and was able to repair it, replacing the entire spring assembly in less than 90 minutes!! I have also posted this on my subdivision's Facebook page so everyone knows how incredible this company is. Thank you all for your great service!!

NOTE: This was an ANNUAL SAFETY CHECK, NOT a service/repair visit. EVERYTHING WAS WORKING FINE. Mr. Garrett was knowledgeable, efficient and pleasant. He checked the Precision insulated garage door installed earlier this year and the Precision Garage Door Opener installed almost 20 years ago. The opener operates smoothly and quietly despite its age. The insulated garage door keeps garage temperatures above freezing during the most frigid weather and helps the garage stay a bit cooler on hotter days. (My water heater and back-up refrigerator are in the garage, so garage temperature is important).
