John is a very qualified technician - and a nice guy as well. He explained all that was going on with my broken garage door and what it would take to get it working again. We also discussed the age of the door hardware and we did a detailed inspection. From the first inquiry phone call to a technician showing up was less than two hours. Upon arriving, Jonathan began asking what issues we were experiencing. He listened and provided information as to why the issues were occurring; then gave an overview of the products available to resolve our issues. Once selected, it took Jonathan less than an hour and half to remove the old system and a new one completely installed and programmed. This included the hardware and motor, belt drive, door opener, key pad and two handheld remotes. It also included Jonathan reviewing the functions of the system and us testing them out. Jonathan was very professional in his conversations with us and did the installation in a very professional manner. There was no sales pressure, just facts…and I appreciated that. I purchased my two cars garage door from Precision Garage door of Nashville in 2012, it is an insulated garage door. the door is still in great shape and works very well, it is smooth and real quite. I had to replace the spring once and had recently a noise in the door. I called Precision yesterday and the Technician came in this morning. My garage door failed, rendering it unusable. I was able to book an appointment on-line for the next day in the 10:00-Noon time frame, which pleasantly surprised me. I chose Precision GDS on the basis of their advertising and reviews with my fingers crossed, hoping for the best. Turns out I had nothing to worry about. At about 10:00 that next day, Kendrick Travis called to say he was about 40 minutes out, which proved to be an accurate estimate. We talked on the phone for a few minutes about the nature of the door failure, so Kendrick was already thinking ahead about the problem, which is exactly what I wanted him to do. What can I say? Kendrick was instantly likeable, not just friendly, he was affable and thoroughly competent. It took him a little over 2 hours to complete the repair. I rigorously tested the door after the repair and could find no issue with the repair so Kendrick left me in Happy Camper mode. I hope Precision GDS recognizes that Kendrick is the kind of employee that both you and I want on the job.
